The community of Dofteana in Bacău County has made a new stride in securing property rights for its citizens. Prefect Claudiu Ilișanu announced that five land ownership titles were handed over to 91 heirs from the village of Cucuieți, covering an area of 723 hectares of forest and pasture. This achievement is the result of a year and a half of work, initiated by former prefect Lucian Bogdanel in collaboration with Dofteana’s mayor, Ioan Bujor.
The ceremony included representatives from the involved institutions, such as Mona-Camelia Aronescu, director of OCPI Bacău, Anca-Didona Mătăsaru, Secretary General of the Prefecture, Emil Hadarag, head of the Tg. Ocna Forestry District, and Deputy Vasile Budaca. Prefect Ilișanu thanked all those involved, highlighting the importance of joint efforts in achieving this result.
Additional ownership titles under final review
Alongside the five titles awarded, six more documents are in the final verification phase at the Suceava Forestry Guard, set to be completed and distributed to heirs soon. These actions will help ensure property rights for citizens and improve natural resource management in Dofteana.
A step toward forest protection
Residents who received ownership titles can now sign forest management and security contracts with the Bacău Forestry Directorate, a key step in protecting and managing the forest estate. “This is an essential step for our community, offering citizens stability and the opportunity to safeguard their forest properties,” stated Prefect Ilișanu.
Mayor Ioan Bujor and the Dofteana Local Council were commended for allocating funds for cadastral measurements, supporting citizens in the necessary steps to obtain their property rights.
In conclusion, the sustained efforts of authorities and the collaboration of the involved institutions mark a significant milestone for the Dofteana community, strengthening citizen rights and promoting sustainable management of Bacău County’s forest resources.
